Job summary

Byline Bank, a Chicago-based commercial bank, is seeking a Credit Analyst I (Remote) to prepare and review credit files, analyze financial statements, and support loan presentations. The role supports sales teams and multiple departments in a hybrid work setting.

The candidate will run credit reports, perform financial analysis, and help prepare funding reconciliations while maintaining strong attention to detail and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2+ years of credit experience, ideally in a public company with at least 1,000 employees.
• 2+ years of credit analyst experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
• Be self-motivated and an effective time and project manager with a strong attention to detail.
• Have strong change management, organizational and planning capabilities.
• Ability to identify, understand and define problems, evaluate alternatives, set priorities, manage projects and implement high quality solutions.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and analytical skills with the ability to directly manage and communicate multiple projects and priorities depending on organizational needs and strategies.
• Possess strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Runs Credit Bureaus, Paynet and Lexis Nexis and OFAC reports.
• Provides timely communications & decisions making to sales reps/teams.
• Helps perform commercial credit analysis by reviewing items including, but not limited to credit reports, personal and business financial statements and tax returns, appraisals, property inspections and environmental reports to complete loan presentations for approval consideration by the appropriate approval authority.
• Helps prepare and analyzes spreads of a company’s financial statements to determine overall credit strengths and weakness of potential commercial credit customers.
• Updates credit on existing files.
• Prepares vendor files for review by manager.
• Assists other departments with their duties.
• Provides additional office support, including data entry, answering incoming calls, and filing.
• Assists with the preparation of the final funding reconciliation in Vendor Services.
• All other duties as assigned.
