Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree preferred.
• 2+ years of credit experience, ideally in a public company with at least 1,000 employees.
• 2+ years of credit analyst experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
• Be self-motivated and an effective time and project manager with a strong attention to detail.
• Have strong change management, organizational and planning capabilities.
• Ability to identify, understand and define problems, evaluate alternatives, set priorities, manage projects and implement high quality solutions.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and analytical skills with the ability to directly manage and communicate multiple projects and priorities depending on organizational needs and strategies.
• Possess strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial credit analysis by reviewing credit reports, personal/business financial statements, tax returns, appraisals, property inspections and environmental reports to complete loan presentations for approval consideration by the appropriate approval authority.
• Help analyze the spreads of a company’s financial statements to determine overall credit strengths and weakness of potential commercial credit customers.
• Assist with collateral analysis of all collateral assets to accounts receivables, inventory, equipment and real estate.
• Assist with credit classification analysis including a detailed profile of the company’s largest customers and delinquencies.
• Assist with inventory analysis including days, stale inventory and valuations.
• Assist with equipment analysis comparing market value to book value and net orderly liquidation values.
• Assist with real estate collateral analysis including appraisal and special-use facilities.
• Coordinate with customers and bankers to obtain information throughout underwriting.
• Identify and assess business, industry and market risks for credit evaluation.
• Perform business sector analyses to evaluate health and viability of companies.
• Evaluate growth potential of company bases using economic theories.
• Order underwriting items from internal and external sources.
• Prepare final funding reconciliation in Vendor Services.
• Update credit on existing files.
• Record and maintain external vendor order costs in Vendor Services.
• All other duties as assigned.
