Job summary

Cornerstone Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to be located in-person at one of our Cornerstone Bank locations in ND/SD. This role analyzes credit information to determine risk for agricultural lending and to support loan decisions.

Requires a Finance-related bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of related experience, plus strong data-analysis skills and computer proficiency. We offer a people-first culture, growth opportunities, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field with 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements and tax returns.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with software to analyze data.

What You'll Do

This position is responsible for analyzing credit information to determine the risk involved in lending money to current and potential agricultural borrowers. Incumbents also determine the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of ag loans, assist bankers in writing loan requests, and promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

What We're Looking For

• Agricultural analysis experience
• Ability to read and comprehend financial statements and tax returns
• High level of expertise with computers and software programs to analyze data
• Knowledge of government and/or other lending programs available to the bank

Background & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field and 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
