Responsibilities

• Coordinate with loan officers to ensure loans move from application to closing in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor loan files to ensure insurance, financials, and documentation stay current.

About the Role

Are you looking for more than just a job? Ascent Bank is looking to add a Credit Analyst to our outstanding team. You'll work closely with loan officers and bank customers to evaluate commercial and consumer credit needs - analyzing financial statements, cash flow, performance ratios, credit structure, and risk. It's a role that builds a strong foundation in business, finance, accounting, and communication, with hands-on mentorship and a clear path to grow within a collaborative, community-minded bank in the heart of Helena, Montana.

What You'll Do

• Analyze the creditworthiness of commercial and consumer applicants and guarantors - reviewing loan applications, evaluating financial statements, calculating cash flows, identifying risks, and researching borrowers and industries.
• Partner with loan officers to analyze credit and prepare clear written and verbal credit analyses.
• Order, review, and analyze credit reports, appraisals, market valuations, environmental assessments, title insurance, and flood determinations.
• Coordinate with loan officers to keep loans moving efficiently and in compliance with regulations, from application through closing, including document preparation and review.
• Monitor and maintain loan files to ensure insurance, financials, and other required documentation stay current.
• Deliver exceptional service, guidance, and support to customers on bank products and services.
