Job summary

RockBridge Search & Recruitment in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Credit Analyst to scrutinize commercial loan requests, review financial statements, and support lending decisions to fuel local businesses.

You'll partner with lenders, prepare credit memorandums, and help manage risk while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role offers growth in a community-focused banking team with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of commercial credit analysis or commercial banking experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lending principles and credit underwriting.
  • Experience analyzing financial statements and business tax returns.
  • Knowledge of cash flow modeling and financial ratio analysis.
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate and C&I lending is highly valued.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with loan origination and credit analysis software is a plus.
  • Exceptional written communication with the ability to produce clear, well-supported credit presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing commercial loan requests across a variety of industries and business sizes.
  • Reviewing business and personal financial statements, tax returns, cash flow projections, and supporting documentation.
  • Preparing detailed credit memorandums with clear recommendations for loan approval or denial.
  • Evaluating borrower repayment capacity, collateral, guarantor strength, and overall creditworthiness.
  • Performing cash flow analysis, global debt service calculations, and financial ratio analysis.
  • Identifying potential lending risks while recommending practical solutions and mitigating factors.
  • Monitoring existing loan relationships to ensure continued financial strength and covenant compliance.
  • Conducting annual credit reviews and portfolio monitoring.
  • Partnering closely with Commercial Relationship Managers throughout the underwriting process.
  • Assisting with loan structuring that aligns with both customer needs and sound banking practices.
  • Maintaining accurate credit files and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Staying current on market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments that could impact lending decisions.
  • Supporting internal audits, examinations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Building productive relationships with lenders, credit administration, loan operations, and executive leadership.
