Job summary

Gemaire Distributors, LLC is seeking a Credit Analyst in Deerfield Beach to evaluate customer creditworthiness, manage accounts receivable, and drive timely collections. You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Finance to support revenue growth while maintaining credit risk standards.

The role entails establishing credit limits, monitoring customer accounts, and negotiating payment arrangements with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, or financial analysis is acceptable
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and collection practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting tools
• Experience with ERP systems and CRM software

Responsibilities

• Analyze and approve customer credit applications within assigned authority limits
• Review financial statements, credit reports, trade references, and payment history to assess risk
• Establish, modify, or recommend customer credit limits and payment terms
• Monitor customer accounts for changes in financial condition and payment performance
• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables
• Contact customers regarding overdue invoices through phone, email, and written correspondence
• Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships
• Investigate and resolve billing, pricing, deduction, and payment disputes
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts on high-risk accounts
• Coordinate account escalations, holds, and release decisions in accordance with company policy
• Maintain accurate account notes and collection activities within ERP or CRM systems
• Prepare reporting on aging, collections performance, bad debt exposure, and credit risk
• Assist with monthly reserve analysis and write-off recommendations
• Support cash application teams in resolving unapplied or disputed payments
• Partner with Sales teams to balance customer growth opportunities with acceptable risk levels
• Work with Customer Service and Operations to resolve order, delivery, and invoice issues impacting collections
• Communicate credit decisions and account status updates to internal stakeholders
• Support process improvement initiatives focused on reducing DSO and improving cash flow
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
