Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in medical staff services with duties that involved medical staff and allied health credentialing.
• Managed care or other healthcare environment preferred.
• Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft products (Word, Excel); data entry accuracy critical.
• Excellent/professional communication skills.
• Strong time management, customer service, organization and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Credentialing Specialist oversees the entire initial credentialing and privileging process and reappointment for all new medical staff and allied health applicants to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Collaborates with the Director Medical Staff Services to ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission Standards, and regulatory requirements.
