Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking a Manager, Credentials Verification Office to lead UVA Health's credentialing operations. This role ensures providers are credentialed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with standards, while driving audits and continuous improvement across the enterprise.

You will manage a high-performing team, monitor metrics, and collaborate with Medical Staff Offices to support provider readiness and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years relevant experience with 2+ years in formal management.
• NAMSS certification required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a credentialing team with coaching and performance management.
• Manage credentialing workflows, assignments, and priorities for timely progress.
• Monitor workload, turnaround times, productivity, and quality metrics.
• Ensure files are complete, audit-ready, and prepared for release to Medical Staff Offices.
• Support regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and internal/external audits.
• Identify workflow challenges and drive process improvements for efficiency.
• Partner with Medical Staff Offices and onboarding teams to support provider readiness.
• Utilize CredentialStream or similar platforms to optimize operations and reporting.
• Provide hands-on support during high-volume periods, audits, and system changes.
