Job summary

Curana Health is seeking an experienced Credentialing Manager to lead our Professional Credentialing team and oversee end-to-end credentialing and recredentialing.

This role supports regulatory compliance, provider network growth, and efficient credentialing operations within a managed care environment. You will mentor staff and collaborate with data, IT, and health plan partners to ensure accurate and timely credentialing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in healthcare or related field.
• 7+ years in managed care or large health plan environment.
• 5+ years direct provider credentialing and contracting.
• Experience leading credentialing operations and teams.
• Strong knowledge of CMS/NCQA standards and Medicaid programs.
• Experience using CredentialStream or comparable platform.
• Proficiency with Excel and SharePoint.
• Experience managing high-volume credentialing workflows and metrics.
• Strong reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee full practitioner credentialing and recredentialing per CMS/NCQA/Medicaid requirements.
• Manage a team of credentialing professionals and QA processes.
• Monitor provider file inventory and credentialing timelines; ensure accuracy.
• Develop tracking and reporting to provide leadership visibility into status and risks.
• Partner with IT to support credentialing system integration and improvements.
• Train team members and health plan partners on credentialing processes and tools.
