Job summary

The role requires credentialed veterinary training, at least one year of experience, and strong communication skills. You will work on a dynamic team in a clinical setting, with duties spanning exams, procedures, and patient care.

Qualifications

• College or college-equivalent education required to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician.
• At least 1 year of veterinary technician or veterinary practice experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional under stress.
• Telephone and computer skills; team player open to learning.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, record vitals, and begin charting in the EMR.
• Assist veterinarians with routine and emergency appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Perform patient restraint, collect lab samples, dispense medications, and manage records.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay results, and manage inventory and accounts receivable.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and discharge or transfer as needed.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and maintain a clean hospital environment.
