Job summary

Petco seeks a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Vetco Total Care full-service hospital. You will support veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and dental procedures, perform patient restraint, collect samples, and maintain accurate medical records while delivering exceptional client care.

Applicants should have college-equivalent education and at least 1 year of veterinary experience, plus strong written and spoken communication, compassion, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• College or college-equivalent education completed as required to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where the hospital is located.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain vitals, document history in EMR.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, collect lab samples, dispense medications, and maintain EMR.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, manage inventory and records.
