Job summary

Heart + Paw in Marlton, NJ is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative, pet-focused team. You will assist veterinarians, manage patient records, handle diagnostic samples, and support surgeries while upholding low-stress handling and client communication.

This role requires state licensure, 1–2 years of clinical experience, and a willingness to pursue Fear Free and HABRI certifications.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Veterinary Technician in the relevant state.
• 1–2 years of clinical veterinary experience preferred.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to pursue Fear Free and HABRI certifications.
• Collaborative, adaptable team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with routine appointments, surgeries, and patient care.
• Collect and process diagnostic samples, administer medications, and prepare for surgeries.
• Record detailed patient histories and manage pharmaceutical inventories.
• Take and interpret radiographs, including dental X-rays, and perform ultrasonic dental cleanings.
• Monitor general anesthesia, dress wounds, and assist with catheterization and ear flushes.
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Educate clients on preventive care, dental hygiene, nutrition, and more.
• Collaborate with the team to create a positive work environment and assist with onboarding new employees.
• Champion the company brand by promoting services like grooming, daycare, and retail offerings.
