Job summary

Vanguard University’s School of Education is seeking a Credential Programs Assistant to provide administrative and student support for California Teaching Credential Programs and TAP. The role works with credential students, faculty, districts, and external partners to manage records, advising, registrations, and reporting.

The position reports to the Dean of the School of Education and requires strong organizational and communication skills, data handling, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in education, business, or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with student support, credentialing processes, and data management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn campus systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate student credential records and documentation.
• Assist with advising, registration, and credential requirements questions.
• Support credential audits and review of progress against program requirements.
• Process credential applications and prepare CTc submissions.
• Coordinate data collection for Title II and other reporting.
• Support TAP administration including admissions, registration, and financial tracking.
• Monitor student progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners on program needs.
