Job description

How will you make a difference to PMI?

We are looking for a Creator & Social Video Producer to develop engaging, social-first content across PMI’s organic and paid social channels. This hands‑on role will partner closely with the Manager, Social Media to build and grow a strong user-generated content (UGC) pillar while bringing PMI’s brand and stories to life through compelling, platform-native content.

You’ll own the creative process from concept to delivery, including concepting, scripting, capturing, editing, writing, and versioning video, photography, motion, and static assets. We’re looking for someone with strong production skills, sharp brand judgement, and a deep understanding of social platforms, trends, and audience behaviours who can turn briefs, insights, and real‑time moments into timely, relevant content.

You’ll also support content capture at PMI events, partnering with internal stakeholders to plan coverage, identify engaging moments, and quickly deliver polished, channel‑ready assets.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Own the end‑to‑end development of trend‑led and UGC‑style social content, including ideation, research, scripting, storyboarding, shot planning, production, on‑camera participation, editing, caption writing, versioning, exporting, and final delivery.
  • Concept, film, photograph, and edit high‑quality short‑form video and visual content using both mobile devices and professional camera equipment, selecting the production approach that best fits the story, platform, timeline, and audience.
  • Serve as a primary on‑site content creator at PMI’s premier events, capturing keynote moments, attendee experiences, behind‑the‑scenes stories, executive and subject matter expert interviews, community perspectives, and other real‑time brand storytelling opportunities.
  • Plan event coverage in close partnership with stakeholders and cross‑team partners — developing content concepts, shot lists, interview prompts, schedules, equipment plans, and rapid‑turn workflows — and publish or deliver timely content during and immediately following events.
  • Create platform‑native content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and Stories, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Facebook, and emerging channels, adapting hooks, pacing, framing, audio, text treatments, aspect ratios, duration, and calls to action for each placement.
  • Write and refine captions, headlines, scripts, interview questions, on‑screen text, and calls to action in PMI’s brand voice, ensuring content is clear, inclusive, accessible, and aligned with campaign and business objectives.
  • Create, adapt, and export branded graphics, thumbnails, title cards, motion elements, and other visual assets using approved templates and brand systems; repurpose existing footage and design assets into new social‑first executions.
  • Monitor platform culture, audience behaviors, emerging creators, sounds, formats, visual styles, and cultural moments; identify relevant opportunities early and rapidly translate them into original, brand‑appropriate concepts for the UGC‑focused content pillar.
  • Monitor content performance across the trends and UGC pillar and apply optimization insights — hooks, formats, pacing, creative approach — to continually improve results.
  • Build repeatable content series and maintain an always‑on pipeline that balances planned campaigns, educational storytelling, community content, event coverage, and timely trend‑led opportunities.
  • Partner with the Manager, Social Media and the broader Social team, along with cross‑functional marketing stakeholders such as Creative, Brand, Product Marketing, Events, and Communications, to translate briefs and larger campaign ideas into effective social‑first executions.
  • Apply performance data, audience feedback, testing, and creative insights to strengthen hooks, retention, watch time, engagement, and other campaign outcomes; document learnings and use them to improve future content.
  • Organise and maintain footage, project files, releases, selects, templates, and final assets using established naming, storage, rights‑management, and archival practices.
  • Manage multiple productions and rapid‑turn assignments simultaneously, communicate status and risks, respond constructively to feedback, and deliver accurate, brand‑safe work on deadline.
  • Use AI‑powered creative tools and modern production workflows responsibly to support ideation, transcription, captioning, editing, versioning, and efficiency while maintaining human accountability for accuracy, originality, rights, and final quality.
Role Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, film/video production, journalism, design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience creating social‑first content, short‑form video, digital storytelling, or related creative work for a brand, agency, publisher, or creator‑led organization.
  • A portfolio or reel demonstrating personally created work across concepting, shooting, on‑camera storytelling, editing, writing, and final delivery is required.
  • Demonstrated experience capturing live events, interviews, behind‑the‑scenes content, and rapid‑turn social assets in dynamic, high‑visibility environments.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders and external production or agency partners while independently owning day‑to‑day content creation.
  • Creator‑first mindset with strong instincts for concepts, hooks, pacing, visual composition, and concise social storytelling; comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.
  • Proficiency with mobile and professional video production and editing — camera operation, lighting, audio capture, CapCut, and at least one professional non‑linear editing platform such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Ability to create, resize, and export brand‑aligned static and motion graphics using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, or Canva.
  • Deep platform fluency across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and emerging channels — native formats, audience expectations, and publishing best practices.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to distinguish fleeting trends from durable audience behaviors and translate both into clear, brand‑appropriate content.
  • Working knowledge of content performance metrics and brand/visual systems, with the ability to convert insights into specific creative improvements.
  • Strong organization and production‑planning skills — able to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and make sound decisions in live event settings.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve creative efficiency while maintaining accountability for accuracy, brand alignment, and final quality.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proficiency in the business language for PMI (English).
  • Up to 25%, including multi‑day domestic and international events; evening and weekend availability may be required during event coverage.
