Job summary

Printfresh is seeking a highly skilled illustrator and textile designer to create original prints and embroideries for Sleepwear and Apparel. You’ll develop artwork from concept to production-ready designs and collaborate with Creative Leadership, Design, Merchandising, and Product Development.

This full-time role is based in our Philadelphia office, Monday through Friday, with a strong focus on storytelling, color, and attention to detail across seasonal collections and collaborations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Illustration, Textile Design, Fine Arts, Fashion, or related field.
• Experience creating original print and embroidery design for the women’s apparel industry.
• Strong illustration and drawing skills with a unique point of view and ability to create emotional artwork; must be able to bring humour and clever ideas to feminine, whimsical patterns.
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in our fast‑paced and deadline‑oriented environment
• Strong communication abilities
• 7-10+ years of experience in textile design for women’s fashion brands is preferred

Responsibilities

• Create 10-12+ highly detailed sleepwear and apparel prints monthly.
• Design prints for collections with brand collaborations, licensing, influencers, and stores.
• Assist with designing and sourcing trims as needed.
• Follow the print design calendar and meet deadlines.
• Brainstorm concepts and build rough references for print designs.
• Present seasonal concepts to Buying/Merchandising and coordinate with Design.
• Prepare final print assortments with renderings for presentations.
• Revise print collections to ensure cohesive storytelling and business goals.
• Finalize artwork for factory production and indexing for screenprinting.
• Create tech pages and Pantone details for production.
• Send artwork packages to overseas vendors per calendar.
• Create seasonal palettes and mood boards for Marketing and Graphic Design.
• Stay current on trends relevant to the Printfresh brand.
