Job summary

Printfresh seeks a highly skilled illustrator and textile designer to craft original prints and embroideries for Sleepwear and Apparel. You’ll develop concepts through production-ready designs, bringing whimsical yet sophisticated storytelling to seasonal collections and collaborations.

In this full-time Philadelphia role, you’ll collaborate with Creative Leadership, Design, Merchandising, and Product Development to balance artistic exploration with commercial needs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Illustration, Textile Design, Fine Arts, Fashion, or related field.
• Experience creating original print and embroidery design for the women’s apparel industry.
• Strong illustration and drawing skills with a unique point of view and ability to create emotional artwork.
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication abilities.
• 7-10+ years of experience in textile design for women’s fashion brands (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Print Development/Print and Embroidery Design: create 10-12+ highly detailed prints each month.
• Develop prints for collections with outside partners, including collaborations and licensing.
• Assist with designing and sourcing trims as needed.
• Follow print design calendar and meet deadlines.
• Brainstorm concepts for new collections and build rough references.
• Present seasonal concepts to Buying/Merchandising teams and ensure calendar alignment.
• Present final seasonal print assortments with renderings for presentations.
• Revise print collections with cross-functional teams to align with business needs.
• Finalize artwork for factory production with Pantones and tech specs.
• Create seasonal palettes and mood boards for Marketing and Graphic Design.
• Stay current on brand-relevant trends and industry inspirations.
