Job summary

Dimensional Innovations (DI) is seeking a Creative Technology Intern to join our Kansas City area team onsite in Overland Park. You’ll contribute to client projects by building interactive web experiences that communicate with physical hardware, including sensors, cameras, displays, and LED systems.

You’ll work with DI's Creative Technology team, pair with a mentor, and gain hands-on experience across software, hardware and fabrication disciplines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant field (CS, IDM, EE or related).
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git/version control and collaborative coding practices.
• Interest in creative technology and interactive experiences.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to web applications and prototypes for real DI client projects.
• Assist with front-end development using modern technologies, frameworks, tools and workflows.
• Explore how software can interact with physical hardware (sensors, cameras, displays, LEDs).
• Build and test prototypes in DI's technology workshop.
• Apply UX and design principles to interactive experiences.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, engineers, fabricators and other disciplines.
