Job summary

Frey Design is seeking a Creative Project Manager to lead design and web projects from kickoff through launch. This role requires an organized, client-focused professional who can manage timelines, budgets, communication, and team coordination while using modern tools, including AI, to support smart project flow and clear results.

Based in Roselle, Illinois, the position offers a hybrid work setup: in-office four days a week and remote Fridays, with benefits like health insurance, a 401(k)

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of project management experience in a creative/marketing agency.
• Expert-level Asana with real client projects.
• Experience with Monday/Teamwork/Workfront/Jira/Mavenlink.
• Proven client liaison experience.
• Strong skills in timelines, budgets, and resource management.
• Familiar with WordPress CMS and related launches.
• Understanding of creative workflows, briefs, revisions, and print/digital.
• Comfort with AI-assisted reporting and editing AI outputs.

Frey Design is seeking a Creative Project Manager to help lead design and web projects from kickoff through launch. This role is ideal for an organized, client-focused professional who can manage timelines, budgets, communication, and team coordination while using modern tools, including AI, to support smart project flow and clear results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own creative, marketing, and web projects from kickoff through delivery, keeping them on time and on budget
• Act as the primary client contact: set expectations, run status updates, manage scope and revisions, and keep communication moving in both directions
• Run daily project priorities and keep designers, developers, and marketers unblocked so work keeps moving through the shop
• Build and manage projects in Asana: timelines, tasks, dependencies, resourcing, and deliverables
• Track project health across hours, budgets, completion, and timelines, and report clearly on all three
• Draft and manage proposals, scopes of work, project briefs, and client-facing project tools with fast turnaroundUse AI-assisted tools to prepare meeting summaries, task lists, reports, and documentation, then refine outputs to agency standards
• Follow up relentlessly on open items, approvals, and deliverables so nothing stalls
• Spot workflow problems early and solve them with practical, creative fixes

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2-4 years of project management experience inside a creative, design, or marketing agency
• Expert-level Asana user: you have built, managed, and maintained real client projects in it, not just watched a tutorial
• Working fluency in other agency PM tools such as Monday, Teamwork, Workfront, Jira, or Mavenlink
• Proven client liaison experience: comfortable being the name and voice clients know
• Strong command of timelines, budgets, resourcing, and deliverable management, including SOWs and vendor coordination
• Familiar with web and WordPress projects: CMS work, QA, launches, and coordinating with developers
• Fluent in how creative teams work: briefs, revisions, Adobe Creative Suite awareness, and print/digital production basics
• Skilled with spreadsheets and AI-assisted reporting, and sharp at editing AI output for accuracy and clarity
• Fast, organized, proactive, and comfortable in a high-communication, quick-turnaround environment
