Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an energetic team member to plan and coordinate in-store events, including kids birthday parties, while delivering fast, friendly customer service. You will assist customers, manage checkout, and support stock and store cleanliness with a focus on safety and brand standards.

You’ll engage with guests of all ages, enroll them in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards when appropriate, and participate in omni-channel processes like BOPIS/SFS as needed.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
• Must have organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events within a Michaels store, including kids birthday parties.
• Deliver friendly customer service and assist shoppers in-store and at checkout.
• Engage guests of all ages and create a fun, creative environment.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Assist with merchandise recovery, stocking, and store cleanliness.
