Job summary

Aramark is seeking a motivated cook to join our Irving, TX team. You will prepare meals, set up your station, measure ingredients, and use a range of kitchen equipment while following recipes and production guidelines.

Weekend and holiday availability is required. Prior short order or line cook experience is a plus; you will ensure food safety, maintain cleanliness, and deliver friendly service to guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Short order cook or line cook experience is a plus.
• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses multiple cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food per safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adheres to safety policies and sanitation standards.
