Job summary

Wright Outdoor Solutions in Iowa provides comprehensive landscape design and maintenance services for residential and commercial clients. The Landscape Designer creates detailed design solutions, measures sites and develops base maps to shape outdoor living spaces.

Ideal candidates hold a BA/Associates in Landscape Design or related field with 3–5 years of experience, knowledge of Iowa horticulture, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Dynacsape, and UVision.

Qualifications

• BA or Associates degree in Landscape Design and/or Horticulture or Landscape Architecture.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape design/sales.
• Possess knowledge of Iowa horticulture.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Dynacsape, UVision (or similar design programs) a plus
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Must possess expertise in landscape construction methods and materials
• Must be able to create and read blueprints

Responsibilities

• Identify client needs and provide compelling solutions
• Perform thorough site inventories
• Measure properties and create scaled base maps
• Create uniquely desirable, artistic and inspirational landscape designs
• Produce accurate estimates and prepare detailed proposals for each project
• Present designs and proposals to clients in both person and virtual formats
• Procure/Purchase materials needed to complete your projects
• Provide excellent customer service and facilitate a great client experience
• Work with construction teams to ensure successful implementation of your projects
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
