Job summary

Wright Outdoor Solutions is seeking a Landscape Design Assistant to support the design-build team in Des Moines, IA. You will assist with site analysis, base maps, CAD drawings, and material research to advance design development.

The role requires a degree in landscape design or related field and familiarity with CAD tools. You will help prepare proposals, client presentations, and project documentation while coordinating with vendors and construction teams.

Qualifications

• BA or Associate degree in Landscape Design and/or Horticulture or Landscape Architecture preferred.
• Experience in landscape design is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Dynacsape, UVision (or similar design programs) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Landscape Designers with site analysis, field measurements, and inventory documentation.
• Prepare accurate scaled base maps and support documents for design development.
• Create and revise landscape plans, renderings, and technical drawings using CAD software.
• Research plant materials, hardscape products, site furnishings, and construction materials.
• Assist with plant selection and planting plans based on site conditions and design objectives.
• Prepare project estimates, material takeoffs, and proposal documentation.
• Develop client presentation materials, including PowerPoint presentations, graphics, photographs, and design exhibits.
• Coordinate procurement of project samples and materials as directed.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations in a supporting role.
• Support project implementation by responding to information requests and updating design documents as needed.
