Key duties include food preparation, proper measuring and handling, equipment operation, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. Experience in cooking and food safety is required, with certification obtainable as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Cook a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives and operate ovens, stoves, and mixers.
• Glossary of duties includes bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and portioning food.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food storage; ensure guest-facing service with courtesy.
