Job summary

Michaels in Poway, CA is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator and Customer Experience team member to plan and host in-store events, including kids’ birthday parties, while helping guests shop and check out quickly.

You will engage customers of all ages, explain rewards programs, assist with BOPIS/SFS, and support store operations, merchandise recovery, and safety standards as part of our Brand Promise.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store, including children’s birthday parties.
• Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate crafts and lead activities; assist with party add-ons.
• Assist customers while shopping, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Guide customers through Rewards programs and enrollments; support BOPIS/SFS.
• Support truck unload, stocking, planogram, and store recovery tasks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; communicate with team members.
• Coordinate with clients and store staff to ensure events run smoothly.
