Michaels is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and execute events in our Portsmouth, NH store. You will engage customers, assist with shopping, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience while coordinating birthday parties and craft classes.

You will also manage event logistics, communicate with clients and staff, and uphold store standards for safety and cleanliness. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred for success in this role.

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun and creative environment.
• Instruct participants in craft projects and perform face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle emails, phone calls, and paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
