Job summary

Michaels Stores in Portland, ME is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging in-store events, including kids’ birthday parties, delivering a fun experience while ensuring fast and friendly service at checkout. You will engage customers, enroll them in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, support omni-channel processes, and maintain store standards.

Must have energy, strong people skills, and experience with children's events; retail or customer service

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events and parties in-store.
• Engage customers and assist with products.
• Support checkout and Rewards enrollment.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Create backup plans and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Complete truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
