The Michaels Companies in Epping, NH is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run store events, including children’s birthday parties, to create a fun and engaging guest experience. You will deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and support merchandise and checkout activities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, instructing participants, and coordinating add-ons while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality with ability to handle job stress and interact with guests of all ages.
• Excellent people skills and experience working with children and children’s events.
• Strong communication (written, verbal, and nonverbal) and organizational skills; retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) in the Michaels store.
• Provide fast and friendly customer service and assist shoppers in-store and at checkout.
• Complete operational tasks such as truck unload, stock and planograms, and store recovery.
• Engage with clients of all ages and demonstrate/call out craft activities and party add-ons.
• Handle administrative tasks, scheduling, emails, and communicate events with the store team.
