Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Cedar Knolls, NJ is seeking an in-store Event Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging events, including children's parties, while providing friendly customer service and seamless shopping experiences.

You will assist guests, manage event logistics, and support store operations to uphold brand standards. Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, instructing participants, and assisting with omni-channel processes.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children's events.
• Excellent people skills and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and face painting.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Participate in Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
