Job summary

Michaels in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including kids' birthday parties, crafts classes, and other activities, ensuring a fun, engaging guest experience and smooth operations from setup to cleanup.

You will also support store operations, assist customers, enroll guests in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, and help with BOPIS/SFS processes, while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills and ability to interact with guests of all ages.
• Experience working with children and children's events is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Retail or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events (including children’s birthday parties and crafts classes).
• Engage with clients of all ages to create an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party activities; perform face painting and related activities.
