Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordination professional to plan and run children’s parties and craft classes at our Rockwall, TX store. You will engage customers of all ages and lead craft activities, face painting, and add-on services, while coordinating with store teams to ensure smooth events.

The role involves handling event logistics, communicating with clients, and performing related admin duties to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent people and communication skills; ability to interact with guests of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including (but not limited to) sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms
