Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, within a Michaels location in Tacoma area. You will engage guests of all ages, demonstrate craft activities, and manage event-related duties from setup to post-event cleanup.

Role requires strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in retail or event settings.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage guests of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (including children’s birthday parties and craft classes).
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party activities and manage add-ons (goody bags, balloons).
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle emails and calls.
• Assist with load-in/out, stocking, and store recovery tasks as needed to support brand promises.
