Job summary

Michaels in Vallejo, CA is seeking an events-focused Store Team Member to plan, coordinate, and execute in-store events including kids' birthday parties. You will deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers, and ensure a fast, courteous checkout.

You’ll manage event logistics, engage guests of all ages, instruct craft activities, upsell rewards and private label cards, and support daily store operations while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun, creative environment.
• Instruct party participants in crafts and activities; perform face painting and additions.
• Manage add-ons like goody bags and balloons per company standards.
• Handle emails, calls, and paperwork; coordinate with store team.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and uphold store cleanliness and safety.
• Assist customers with shopping, locating products, and checkout processes.
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS, SFS) and stock/planogram tasks.
