Job summary

ARAMARK is hiring a Cook to help bring recipes to life in a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll work with fresh ingredients and standard recipes, set up your station, measure and prep ingredients, and use a variety of cooking methods to create flavorful dishes.

Follow production guidelines and safety procedures, maintain clean work areas, and provide friendly service to guests while adhering to company policies. Shift changes and physical tasks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food properly per food safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adheres to safety policies and ensures security of company assets.
