Job summary

Aramark is seeking a motivated Cook to join our team. You’ll translate recipes into tasty dishes, work with fresh ingredients, and showcase creativity while following production guidelines.

You will prep ingredients, operate kitchen equipment, maintain safety standards, and deliver friendly service to guests. Prior cooking experience and a willingness to obtain food safety certification are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation methods and safety regulations.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Strong math and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and coworkers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.
