Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to bring recipes to life using fresh ingredients and versatile cooking methods. You will work in a fast-paced environment, setting up stations, measuring ingredients, and ensuring safety and sanitation throughout food preparation.

You will prepare meals per standardized recipes, operate kitchen equipment, and maintain quality through careful garnishing and portions. The role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as sanitation, storage, and proper handling.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely uses utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods on meat, vegetables and other foods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food properly following safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and co-workers.
