Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team in the United States. You will be preparing a variety of foods from standardized recipes, setting up your workstation, and ensuring safety and sanitation at all times.

You’ll work with ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers, and contribute to a positive guest experience. You should have cooking experience, knowledge of food safety, and the ability to obtain a food safety certification.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and safety.
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food properly per safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service towards guests and coworkers.
