Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook who loves to create delicious dishes and experiment with flavors. You’ll cook meals to standardized recipes, set up your station with all ingredients and equipment, and use various methods to prepare meats, vegetables, and more.

You’ll maintain food safety and sanitation standards, work with a collaborative team, and provide friendly guest service. This role offers the chance to grow skills in a dynamic food service environment across client locations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper handling, sanitation, and storage.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses diverse cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines.
• Maintains food safety policies and sanitation; cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and positive demeanour toward guests and coworkers.
• Adheres to safety policies and ensures security of company assets.
