Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. is seeking a Cake Decorator to enhance member experience in our bakery area. You will collaborate with team members to ensure quality, presentation, and inventory accuracy while following food safety standards.

You will leverage decorating tools and techniques to create petal, floral, and lettering designs, and assist members with product choices during peak hours. This role emphasizes service, efficiency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience in fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must complete all job required trainings and assessments within the specified time period.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with cross functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources; communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
• Be an Expert: Plans bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of designs; follows recipe instructions and maintains sanitation and inventory.
• Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; uses handheld devices for production, ordering and training.
• Be an Owner: Drives bakery performance, ensures date control, reduces waste, assists members with purchasing decisions and resolves issues.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Models high-quality service, trains and mentors others, and upholds company policies and ethics.
