Job summary

Sam's East, Inc. is seeking a Cake Decorator to drive member service in the bakery department and help meet member expectations.

You will collaborate with associates, plan productions, and handle decorating tasks with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. You will utilize handheld tools and digital aids to improve sales, training, and product quality while supporting seasonal events and inventory control.

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience in fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams and educate associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
• Plan bakery productions ensuring quality and accuracy of decorative designs; follow recipe measurements and work with decorating tools.
• Leverage handheld technology to support production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
• Drive bakery area performance by ensuring quality and date control, eliminating waste, and supporting seasonal events.
• Act as a brand ambassador, modeling high quality service and products and supporting training of colleagues.
