Job summary

Meijer is seeking a cake decorator to prepare and decorate cakes for various occasions, and to fill and condition the cake case throughout the shift.

This role involves managing cake dates, processing orders, inventory, sanitation, and maintaining positive interactions with customers and staff. There may be opportunities to work in deli and bakery areas, with duties adjusted as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with decorating cakes and handling cake orders.
• Strong attention to detail in all tasks.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Creative and energetic approach to decorating and customer service.
• Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and decorate cakes for orders and events.
• Receive and process cake orders.
• Manage cake and icing inventory.
• Operate cake decorating stations and follow sanitation procedures.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, teammates and leadership.
• Stock and maintain product displays according to standards.
• Potential to work in deli and bakery areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
