Job summary

Meijer Inc. bakery team member sought to prepare and decorate cakes for various occasions, fill and condition the cake case, and assist with deli and bakery operations as needed.

You will maintain accurate cake dating, receive orders, and keep inventory orderly. In a friendly, fast-paced environment you will serve customers, ensure sanitation procedures are followed, and stock product displays to meet merchandising standards while contributing to a positive team atmosphere and community service

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and accurate with icing and cake decoration.
• Excellent written communication and customer service skills.
• Creative and energetic with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to quality.
• Ability to work with customers on a consistent basis.
• Capable of following sanitation procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Managing cake out-dates daily.
• Receiving and processing cake orders.
• Managing cake and icing inventory.
• Managing cake decorating station to include preparing icing's and following all sanitation procedures.
• Maintaining a positive, friendly working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.
• Stocking and maintenance of product and product displays according to quality and merchandising standards.
• Potential for working in our deli and bakery areas.
