Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is seeking an Art Director to lead engaging arts programming for youth aged 5 to 18 across multiple Club locations. This full-time role emphasizes creating daily activities that encourage creativity, skill development, and positive participation in a welcoming environment.

The Art Director will maintain organized art spaces, coordinate materials, supervise volunteers and staff, and produce weekly reports.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in a related field; must be 21 years of age.
• Preferably 2+ years of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar org with planning/supervising activities.
• Proven working experience as Art Director.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Group leadership skills; understanding of group dynamics.
• Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications for licensing requirements.
• Occasional travel to other Branch/Site locations; may drive Club van.
• Must possess a safe driving record and provide it to Operations Director or HR Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads age-appropriate art activities for members 5–18 across multiple locations.
• Maintains safe, well-equipped art spaces and coordinates materials.
• Designs and delivers daily programming to foster creativity and skill development.
• Oversees weekly program reporting to Branch Director/Area Manager.
• Suggests and leads a fee-based Summer Art Camp for middle school students.
