This Full Time role requires imagination, strong communication, and the ability to tailor daily activities to residents' interests and needs, while coordinating with nursing staff and families to create a supportive, home-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with older adults preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Creative, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working with residents with a variety of physical and cognitive abilities.
• Most importantly, a genuine passion for working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead a variety of daily activities meeting residents' needs.
• Get to know residents and develop activities based on interests and personal histories.
• Create a monthly activity calendar with group and individual activities.
• Organize events, parties, entertainment, outings, and celebrations for residents and families.
• Encourage participation while respecting individual choices and preferences.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, volunteers, and community members.
• Incorporate meaningful one-on-one visits and activities for residents who may not participate in group programs.
• Work closely with nursing and other departments to ensure activities are appropriate for each resident's needs.
• Bring creativity and new ideas to the facility while creating an environment where residents feel valued.
