Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Boston, MA seeks a General Manager (CRE) to oversee a significant portfolio of properties and lead the Property Management staff. You will coordinate third-party relationships, drive budgeting, reporting, and contract compliance, and ensure tenant satisfaction across multiple sites.

The role requires 5+ years in real estate property management, CPM/RPA/CSM is a plus, and a strong command of finance, operations, and Microsoft Office. Local travel to properties is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of real estate property management or related experience.
• Experience leading property management staff.
• Strong knowledge of finance and building operations.
• Ability to manage a team of professionals and vendors.
• Experience analyzing commercial leases.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional responsibility for property management business.
• Provide overall property management leadership through policy development and information flow.
• Provide direction and leadership to Property Management staff, promoting career paths.
• Track budget variances and ensure smooth recovery processes.
• Oversee the billing process including payments and disbursement of funds.
• Monitor cash flow and cash requirements in conjunction with Property Manager.
• Prepare reports, annual budget, and other documents for owner per management agreement.
• Support prompt collection of management fees and reimbursements.
• Maintain interface with third-party owners for contract compliance and reporting.
• Resolve tenant relations issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Perform regular property inspections with staff.
• Oversee construction projects with Construction Manager, approving contracts and invoices.
• Ensure compliance with Property Management Policies, codes, and regulations.
