Job summary

Goldman Sachs Private Lending Underwriting in Dallas evaluates, underwrites, documents, and monitors credit and business risks for PWM clients. The role analyzes borrower financial condition, collateral, and risk mitigants, coordinating with regional lending teams to provide tailored financing solutions.

This client-facing position requires a sound risk mindset and collaboration across Credit Risk Management, PWM teams and GS Bank USA, with a 2025 start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred for more senior role.
• CPA or CFA a plus.
• 3+ years in financial field or 8+ years for VP level.
• Experience in commercial/private banking underwriting or credit roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, analysis and modeling.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong project management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risk and economics of transactions and analyze financial condition.
• Collaborate with Regional Lending Team to develop client solutions within risk parameters.
• Understand product lending suite and ensure underwriting consistency.
• Document loan structures for credit approval and file purposes.
• Ensure collateral, covenants and risk ratings are properly monitored.
• Interact with regulators as needed and support loan portfolio management.
• Communicate effectively with private lending teams and PWM/Bank USA personnel.
