Job summary

Genesis Capital seeks a Relationship Associate to support the Sales team, managing the loan process and portfolio development. The role emphasizes building durable relationships with investors and borrowers to reach loan production goals.

The RA coordinates with Loan Officers and Relationship Managers, ensures timely document collection, and helps structure deals in line with underwriting criteria. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in loan processing or a similar role, preferably 1 year in private/hard money space.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Outlook.
• Attention to detail and strong follow-up.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage pipeline by assisting Loan Officer and Relationship Manager in building sponsor and loan files, collecting conditions, and communicating status to customers.
• Support Sales Team throughout the course of loan files, including follow-up with customers and document collection.
• Perform basic loan structuring using front-end guidance, underwriting requirements and loan products.
• Develop needs list based on review of structure and underwriting requirements.
• Review files for red flags to ensure package is complete.
• Work with investor/borrower to obtain initial documentation for underwriting or portfolio management.
