Job summary

Maag Gala inc. is seeking a Crating Technician at our Eagle Rock, VA facility. The role focuses on building crates and pallets for Maag equipment, including dryers and TWS systems, with emphasis on meeting customer delivery dates.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, operates power tools, and collaborates to ensure safe, efficient packing and shipping. OT and weekend work may be required based on workload.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Desirable background in carpentry, framing, manufacturing, or industrial shipping.
• Experience with crate-building tools and fasteners.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut lumber from blueprints to exact dimensions.
• Assemble custom skids, pallets, boxes, and crates with nail guns and hand tools.
• Secure items inside crates using bracing, strapping and foam padding.
• Label, weigh, and apply shipping/export markings to crates.
• Move materials with forklifts/pallet jacks and assist with loading.
