Job summary

MAAG Pump Systems in Eagle Rock, VA seeks a Crating Technician to build and prepare crates and shipping containers for complex equipment including dryers and TWS systems.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling crates, labeling shipments, and safe handling of heavy items with forklifts. Overtime and weekends may be required to meet delivery dates, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; carpentry background preferred.
• Experience with tools used to crate (tape measure, saws, nail guns).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/diagrams to determine exact dimensions and cut lumber.
• Assemble crates, pallets, and boxes using nails, screws, and drills.
• Secure items inside crates with blocking, bracing, strapping, and foam padding.
• Weigh packages, label, and apply required shipping or international export markings.
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move materials and load shipments.
