Job summary

Lantech, the global leader in stretch wrapping technology, is seeking a 1st shift Crater in our climate-controlled Louisville facility. Your hands-on skills will help assemble and prepare machines for shipment, contributing to dependable, world‑class performance.

In this hands-on role, you will build and secure shipping skids, operate a forklift, inspect for damage, and manage shipping paperwork. A 4‑day work week, overtime opportunities, and growth paths support your career at Lantech.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Able to operate forklift and hand/power tools safely.
• Willing to obtain Lantech forklift certification.
• Willing to work overtime when needed to meet deadlines.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Preferred crating or shipping experience.
• Construction or manufacturing background.

Responsibilities

• Build shipping skids using hand and power tools (including pneumatic impact tools and nail guns).
• Prepare, package, and secure machines and spare parts for shipment.
• Operate a forklift to move parts, skids, and equipment.
• Load machines into trucks for outbound shipment.
• Inspect machines for visible damage prior to shipping.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues or make corrections.
• Prepare and organize shipping paperwork (manuals, documentation, etc.).
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

What You’ll Do

Education & Experience

Preferred (but not required):

• Previous crating or shipping experience
• Construction or manufacturing background
• Experience using hand and power tools
