Job summary

Crozier Fine Arts, part of Iron Mountain Incorporated, is hiring a Crate Technician for the Los Angeles-based Fabrication Team. You will process crate designs, ensure safe transport packaging, and work with internal teams to meet project specifications.

The role requires crate shop or carpentry experience, strong safety knowledge, and meticulous attention to detail. Offering competitive pay, PTO, holidays, and benefits in a collaborative art-handling environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of crate shop or production carpentry experience.
• Strong knowledge of shop safety and general tool safety requirements.
• Excellent precision and attention to detail under pressure.
• Ability to read production design paperwork and communicate with clients and coworkers.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to convey instructions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Process crate designs per specifications and design paperwork.
• Collaborate with Art Handling and Logistics to meet container requirements.
• Ensure compliance with shop safety standards and tool guidelines.
• Safely operate shop equipment including table saws, panel saws, pneumatic tools, and sprayers for adhesives, paints, and lacquers.
• Prepare inner packing materials such as insulation and cushioning foams per detailed specs.

Crozier Fine Arts is seeking a Crate Technician to join our Fabrication Team in Los Angeles, CA.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Process crate designs according to specific technical specifications and design paperwork.
• Collaborate with internal Art Handling and Logistics teams to ensure all containers meet the requirements for safe transport and storage.
• Ensure compliance with general shop safety standards and recommended safety requirements for all power tools and equipment.
• Safely operate a variety of shop equipment, including table saws, panel saws, pneumatic tools, and sprayers for adhesives, paints, and lacquers.
• Prepare specialized inner packing materials, including insulation and cushioning foams, according to detailed specifications.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

• 2-3 of experience in a crate shop and/or production carpentry environment.
• Strong knowledge of general shop safety and recommended safety requirements for a wide range of power and hand tools (e.g., table saws, band saws, pneumatic staplers, etc.).
• Proven ability in achieving excellent precision and strong attention to detail while working under pressure.
• The ability to read production design paperwork and effectively communicate with clients and coworkers.
• A self-motivated attitude and the ability to work as a team player while effectively conveying instructions.

What We Offer (Benefits)

• Pay: Starting at $27.00/hr (**Negotiations Depending on Experience), Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit Shift: Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 3 PM Location: 5722 W. Jefferson Blvd., Culver City, CA 90016 Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with the experience.
• Reasonably expected salary range: $56,000.00 - $70,000.00
• 2 Weeks of PTO, Wellness Time off & 7 Paid Holidays + 3 Floating Holidays Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement plans.
